Experience

I have experience of working with children and adults and although I found my work with children very rewarding I choose to work just with adults at the moment. My earliest counselling experience was working in a community based charity working with addicts. After that I worked for a couple of years in a residential rehab providing counselling to people in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. I moved from this setting to an out reach centre which provided services to women who were already involved with social services or the probation service or were at risk of going to prison. I loved working in these settings and I learned a great deal about working with very traumatised people who had chaotic lives. Some of the most vulnerable people in our society. I moved into private practice in 2019 working initially from a rented office, then from my home and eventually moving entirely to working Online from my home office. I find delivering remote counselling to be very effective and I like the way it makes counselling accessible to people who might struggle to come to an in person setting.

Qualifications

My main counselling qualifications are:
Level 4 Diploma in Therapeutic Counselling (CPCAB)
Level 3 General Certificate in Online Counselling (CPCAB)
Level 6 Diploma in Online Supervision (dist) (OLT)

Initial Consultation

I offer a free brief (20 minute) meeting. This can be a pone call or a Zoom meeting. This is long enough to get a flavour of who I am and to ask any questions you may have.

Fees

I charge £50 per session. I accept payment by Bank transfer or PayPal. PayPal will incur a charge which will be payable by yourself.

When I Work

Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday

My first appointment is at 9:30 and my last appointment is at 5:30. I have some flexibility around those times but not around the days.
